Queensland have now started using Roadworks Speed Cameras. The roadworks speed camera shown in the image was on the M2/Warrego Highway, Riverview QLD. The GPS location is -27.5833521,152.816032.
Anyone driving on this section of road should take extra care. The roadworks speed camera is located in what would appear to be after the roadworks section has finished (approximately 250m) but 400m before the end--road-work sign is shown. There is a reduce-speed sign on the right approximately 100m before the roadworks speed camera, but the sign at the left is laying on the ground in the image. It is approximately 650m from where the last evidence of roadworks is seen until the end-road-work sign is seen across the bridge. As a driver, I find there are many places where end-road-work signs do not appear and many where the end-road-work sign does not show the speed limit. In Victoria, until you see the next speed limit sign the roadworks speed limit still applies.
